Drivers tested to work on the Pear Wireless range.
Click Here to download the drivers and install them, once they have been installed you will have a radio icon in your system tray as seen below.
Clicking on the radio icon will present you with the wireless configuration screen, the screen below shows a connected link, however you will need to enter a few settings before you will get that.
Click on configuration to get started, Choose your own profile name, something that will be easy to remind you esp if you have several AP’s. In the network name box you need to enter the SSID of the network you intend to use and in the network type box you need to select AP or ADHOC (Peering) You can leave the rest default for now.
The next thing to do is configure your encryption, you should have all the key details already if you configured your own AP, if not you should get these details from your administrator.
The final screen simply shows you the driver version, once you have configured everything correctly hit okay and you should be instantly connected to the network. You can ofcourse configure your IP addresses etc as you would a regular network card.
The driver used here is actually a generic wireless driver for all prism chipset wifi cards. It seems that there are no other pear compatible drivers available unfortunately.
